2023 Kia Niro – This summer, the far more appealing 2023 Kia Niro will attempt to take over a mid-size category in North America. According to what we know, the new model will have numerous advantages over the old one. It will ostensibly come in hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric versions. In terms of engines, the new model would supposedly measure roughly 2.5 inches (about 6 cm) bigger than the earlier ones.
Inside, there will be several improvements as well, such as higher-quality materials, a big 10.3-in (26 cm) touchscreen, and a digital gauge cluster. Additionally, the Niro now has blind-spot monitoring and pedestrian recognition thanks to the manufacturer’s addition of extra driver-assistance systems.
2023 Kia Niro Redesign
The 2023 Kia Niro has a beautiful external design. Additionally, all of the aforementioned variants are around 2.5 inches (6 cm) bigger than the earlier models. In contrast to the “aero blade” that is visible behind the C-Pillar, none of this attracts your notice. The big air vent on this chevron-shaped body panel runs from the top to the wheel and sticks out from the rest of the body. The new Niro unquestionably has a more beautiful appearance than the previous model, and it has a sharper nose than the all-electric Kia EV6 hatchback.
Interior
The upcoming 2023 Kia Niro seems more contemporary inside than ever. Given its wider body, this crossover has a roomier interior. The Niro offers adequate space for five people to sit in two rows comfortably. In addition, the new model seems to have more technology than the outgoing one. It has a digital gauge cluster and a 10.3-in (26 cm) touchscreen in the middle. According to Kia, the driver-assistance systems are also improved, and the Niro now comes standard with blind-spot monitoring and pedestrian recognition.
Engine
The new 2023 Kia Niro will be offered as a hybrid (HEV), a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and a battery electric car, as we previously said (BEV). Kia claims that the completely electric vehicle is the best choice since it has a 253-mile range, which is a little bit more than the 239-mile range of the previous model. Additionally, according to their claims, the BEV would feature a 201 horsepower motor and a 64.8 kWh battery that can be charged from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes.
The baseline hybrid features a 139-hp powerplant and is anticipated to have a combined gas and hybrid system range of 588 miles. Up to 33 miles of pure electric driving should be possible for the plug-in hybrid HEV on a single charge. This represents an improvement of around 25% over its predecessor.
2023 Kia Niro Release Date & Price
Unfortunately, Kia has not yet provided any pricing information for the new Niro model at the time this story was being written. The entry-level LX model of the current crossover costs $24,690; the LXS costs $26,090; and the LXS SE costs $27,590. The highest EX Premium grade was $31,990, while the Touring SE model was $29,890. As you can see, the price is comparable to the $24,525 Toyota Prius. This summer, we anticipate the redesigned 2023 Kia Niro to arrive in North America.
