2024 Chevy Blazer EV Sporty SS  – This Blazer nameplate has been a part of various dimensions and styles of Chevy SUVs throughout the years We now have a clear idea of what the newest version, the 2024 Blazer EV will look like. It’s an apparent futuristic version of the gasoline-powered Blazer which is a more stylized mid-size crossover with a distinct appearance due to its massive tires, its long wheelbase, and short rear and front overhangs. The one you will see is the SS version, which implies it’ll offer more performance than the fewer trim levels.

We’ve known about this Blazer EV was coming for several months, ever since it was first announced along with the soon-to-be Equinox EV in the company’s growing electric lineup. However, this is our most comprehensive glimpse yet of the Blazer prior to its unveiling that is scheduled for July 18, excluding some teasers that were released just a few months ago. The Blazer is only the second EV model to feature Chevrolet’s “SS” performance moniker, which leaves us wondering how much additional horsepower it’ll have. From what we can observe in this photo it appears that the SS badge can be seen in the grille on its front, and it comes with huge Continental tires that are wrapped around 12-spoke wheels.

Specs

We are aware we know that the Blazer will be powered by the GM Ultium battery pack, however, we’re not certain of the sizes that will be available. Expect single-motor and dual-motor models to be available with the SS having the strongest AWD setup, and the more affordable models, including LT, RS, and Premier trims that have smaller single motor configurations as normal. The electric revolution at Chevrolet is gaining more attention with the unveiling of the 2024 Blazer Electric Vehicle prior to its official launch on the 18th of July. It’s not as sleek as the model powered by ICE, the performance-oriented SS version sports a sporty front fascia that has an illuminated bowtie. They’re joined by a striking black ‘bar’ that is surrounded by what appear to be closed intakes. Looking further back, we can spot gloss black cladding, and flowing bodywork. The most notable feature is the recessing front fender charging port as previously seen in teasers.

Other noteworthy features include a rakish windshield that runs into a gently sloped roof. It also sports air-yielding side skirts, alloy wheels in two colors, and an elegant beltline that is reminiscent of that of the Volkswagen ID.4. Although Chevrolet hasn’t shown the rear end of the car or released interior images, prior spy shots have shown that the vehicle will feature an elongated rear window as well as sleek taillights. Inside it is expected to have an ultra-modern interior that includes an electronic instrument cluster as well as an impressive infotainment system. Chevrolet will reveal more information later this month However, they did say that the vehicle is “developed from the ground up” and will provide a “groundbreaking mix of style, performance, and technology.” It’s not much to go on however, this Blazer EV will ride on the Ultium platform, and is likely to share some elements with Cadillac Lyriq.
