2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Trail Boss – The Chevrolet Silverado EV is taking its cue from Ford’s Ford F-150 Lightning. However, GM isn’t stopping there. There will be a variety of electric Silverado models including those with the Silverado EV Trail Boss. This model was briefly shown at CES. As Mary Barra, GM CEO was giving her keynote address at CES 20,22 at the time, the Trail Boss was seen being driven quickly on a dirt road and taking on some extremely difficult terrain. GM issued a single photo afterward, showing the car in more detail.
It’s not a huge difference from the V8-powered Silverado 1500 Trail Boss. However, its visual appearance is quite distinctive. While there is a Trail Boss EV Trail Boss grille remains evident on its fascia, it appears that it was not painted. The matte gray finish makes the grille a unique appearance.

The V8 Trail Bosss come standard with four-wheel drive skid plates, and Hill Descent Control. It also comes with special wheels and off-road-oriented Goodyear DuraTrac Mud-Terrain tires. The model will also come with shorter wheels than Silverado Ev’s set of 24 inches.
It could be able to mimic locking differentials. Because it is a part of GMC Hummer EV’s , it is possible to receive the vehicle’s air suspension and rear-ax steering. It could maybe Crab Walk modes. Be aware that the unique changes made by Trail Boss are likely to reduce its range. The primary reason for the reduction in range is the tires. But, the lift kit can reduce its effectiveness at speeds, where resistance to air increases.
