Fifth-generation Lexus the premium crossover, which was the first to launch the market we have today in North America over 20 years back, has not just two or one engine hybrids, instead of three. The base model has not been powered by V6 and was substituted by a 2.4-liter Turbocharged Inline Four. One thing that is likely to be on the minds of the enthusiasts is the fact that the RX500h comes with a 6-speed automated transmission rather than a CVT. It’s also fitted with an innovative AWD system Lexus calls Direct4 which can deliver more than 50% of power to the rear. The most recent Lexus RX, whilst clearly an RX in its appearance and glasshouse, has a different Lexus spindle grille dramatic way. It also provides more room within the same dimensions and has a 2.36-inch longer wheelbase that is larger than the predecessor RX. The most significant thing is the fact that this latest RX comes with the most recent 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is available on the NX. We’re grateful that we don’t have to struggle with the notoriously challenging touchscreen controls!
2023 Lexus RX Review
It’s The Lexus spindle. It was among the most well-known problems for keyboardists prior to when BMW made waves with its new grille designs. Strangely, however, even though the Lexus grille’s distinctive design has shrunk in its size it’s not the norm regarding divergent opinions. The old RX grille was designed to match the contours of the front’s leading edge. It’s now more akin to back bumpers. In the end, the grille has now been redesigned to be an oval-shaped head that looks more like a Honda.
The new headlights have been removed from the Lexus fluidity, which gives an appearance that’s more typical. However, the rear portion is quite the opposite and stands out due to the way the body curves towards a more light bar. The 2023 Lexus RX has a greater wheelbase than prior to it and the rear overhangs are reduced to the same size and allow for a more proportional design, especially when considering the available 21-inch wheels today. This 2023 Lexus RX is still sporting the slight front-heavy look that’s the signature that distinguishes Toyota and Lexus however, it’s also more striking, you can tell. It’s definitely not more of a neutral design. What’s not immediately obvious when considering the way that the new RX appears to the earlier model from different angles is the fact that it runs on GA-K’s platform. Its platform, utilized by different models, including Lexus NX, which is smaller than Lexus NX, helps cut the weight by about 198 pounds. The rear suspension, which is multi-link, has been revamped to improve performance and comfort.
The main story will be that this 3.5-liter V6 engine laid the foundation for the RX range, which is now available. It’s a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is connected to auto with eight speeds is replaced by the RX 350, making 275 horsepower and 317 pounds of torque. It’s not as powerful as the V6’s maximum of 295hp, but it has greater torque than that version’s 267 lbft. With the new RX performance, the performance figures are approximately half a second faster. Lexus claims a 0-60 mph time of 7.5s for the FWD model, and 7.2s for the AWD. However, the efficiency estimates are slightly higher with 24 mpg when combined.
Then there are hybrids, all of which have AWD. This model is driven by the popular 2.5-liter inline-four. It is coupled with an electric motor inside the rear axle that produces 246 HP and 223. pounds of torque. It has an automatic CVT that reduces power while also offering a 0-60 mph estimate for 7.4s and 33mpg combination. The most athletic version is the RX500h which is equipped with 2.4-liter motors that are turbocharged in a hybrid configuration that produces 367 horsepower with 406 pounds torque. A new six-speed gearbox is expected to enhance performance and can achieve a speed of 0-60mph in 5.9s. In addition, the Direct4 AWD with a more efficient electric motor at the rear axle. This is anticipated to improve handling by having a torque split that is forward-biased. The estimated efficiency of the systems is 26, mpg. Details regarding this RX Hybrid plug-in are coming shortly, however, we anticipate similar outputs to that of the 300 horsepower Lexus NX450h+.
